Rental Agreement
Duration of Contract
The rental period begins on the date of signing this agreement and continues on a month-to-month basis unless terminated by either party with a 30-day written notice. Early termination may incur additional charges as outlined below.
Payment Terms
- Monthly Fee: Payments are due on the first day of each month.
- Late Payment: A late fee of 5% will be applied if payment is not received within five days of the due date.
- Security Deposit: A refundable deposit equivalent to one month's rent is required upon signing.
Access and Security
Access Hours
Customers may access their storage units between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM daily. Access outside these hours must be pre-arranged.
Security Measures
We implement robust security protocols to ensure the safety of your belongings, including:
- 24/7 surveillance cameras
- Electronic gate access
- On-site security personnel
Prohibited Items
For safety and compliance reasons, the following items are strictly prohibited from storage:
- Explosives and flammable materials
- Perishable goods
- Hazardous chemicals
- Illegal substances
Liability and Insurance
While we take extensive measures to protect your possessions, Storage Paddington is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items. We recommend obtaining separate insurance coverage for your stored belongings.
Customer Responsibilities
Proper Use of Storage Unit
Customers must ensure that their storage units are used appropriately. This includes:
- Maintaining cleanliness
- Avoiding structural modifications
- Reporting any damages or issues promptly
Compliance with Laws
All storage activities must comply with local, state, and federal laws. Unauthorized use of storage space for illegal purposes will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement.
Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate the agreement with a 30-day written notice. Upon termination, customers must remove all belongings and settle any outstanding fees. Failure to comply may result in fees or legal action.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to seek mediation before pursuing legal action.
Amendments to Terms
Storage Paddington reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Storage Paddington operates. Any legal actions will be conducted within the appropriate courts of this jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to be effective and enforceable.
Entire Agreement
This document constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and Storage Paddington regarding the use of our storage services. It supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
